FEC designs all of our heliports to meet the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, specifically Advisory Circular 418. Our fully automated systems, designed for rooftop helipads, include an operating skid that dispenses 1% AFFF foam when activated by the pull stations. Ground helipads or other helipads on unoccupied structures may only require a Big Wheeled Extinguisher, which FEC can supply. It's important to understand what your local fire marshal will want to see at your specific helipad. FEC consultants can help you determine which type of system will help you comply with the NFPA guidelines.
