Fuel-Water Separator

If you have a heliport on top of an occupied structure, you will likely need a fuel-water separator to comply with the National Fire Protection Association Advisory Circular for Heliports. Containment of all runoff of your deck is required and FEC's fuel-water separator has been designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 418.

Our standard Fuel-Water Separator is a gravity operated unit fed from the gutter system attached to the heliport. The welded steel separator has an adjustable oil draw-off, and an integral baffle system. There is a 300 gallon holding tank for any potentially dangerous runoff that is captured.  The shop coating helps protect the separator from outside elements and is resistant to oil, grease and cutting oils. The separator comes standard with a heater and high level alarm.

FEC can help you determine if your heliport will need a fuel-water separator for compliance.
